Excipients: magnesium hydroxycarbonate heavy; macrogol (polyethylene glycol); mannitol; calcium stearate; silicon dioxide colloidal; crospovidone; povidone K30

Pharmacological properties

Proton pump inhibitor

Indications for use
  • peptic ulcer of the duodenum or stomach in the acute phase, incl. associated with taking NSAIDs, or refractory to therapy with histamine H2 receptor blockers;
  • gastroesophageal reflux disease (moderate and severe forms); Zollinger-Ellison syndrome;
  • combined antihychobacteric eradication therapy in patients with peptic ulcers in order to reduce the frequency of relapses.
  • hypersensitivity to pantoprazole or other components of the drug;
  • the drug contains sorbitol, so it is not recommended for persons with rare hereditary intolerance to fructose;
  • dyspepsia of neurotic genesis;
  • children's age up to 18 years (efficacy and safety have not been studied).
Dosage and Administration


The tablet should be swallowed whole, without chewing or breaking, washed down with a small amount of liquid, before meals, usually before breakfast.

With double intake, the second dose of the drug is recommended to be taken before dinner.

  • Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, erosive gastritis (including those associated with taking NSAIDs)

The recommended dose is 40-80 mg per day. Course of treatment 2 weeks for exacerbation of peptic ulcer disease duodenum and 4-8 weeks with exacerbation of gastric ulcer.

  • Anti-relapse treatment of peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum - 20 mg / day.
  • Eradication of Helicobacter pylori

As a triple therapy, the following combinations are used:

1. Pantoprazole Canon 20-40 mg 2 times a day + amoxicillin 1000 mg 2 times a day + clarithromycin 500 mg 2 times a day. The course of treatment is 7-14 days.

2. Pantoprazole Kanon 20-40 mg 2 times a day + metronidazole 500 mg 2 times a day + clarithromycin 500 mg 2 times a day. The course of treatment is 7-14 days.

3. Pantoprazole Canon 20-40 mg 2 times a day + amoxicillin 1000 mg 2 times a day + metronidazole 500 mg 2 times a day. The course of treatment is 7-14 days.

After the end of combination therapy, the drug Pantoprazole Canon can be continued in order to heal the ulcer. For duodenal ulcers, reception the drug Pantoprazole Canon can be extended from 1 to 3 weeks.

Patients with severe renal impairment (Cl creatinine <20 ml / min) or those on hemodialysis are not prescribed Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy.

  • Treatment of mild GERD symptoms (such as heartburn, nausea, sour belching)

The recommended dose of the drug is 20 mg / day. To achieve positive dynamics in the elimination of symptoms, it may be necessary to take the drug for 2-3 days, but to completely eliminate the symptoms, it may be necessary to take the drug for 7 days. If the condition worsens during the first 3 days of treatment, a specialist consultation is recommended. The drug should be discontinued immediately after the symptoms disappear.

  • Zollinger-Ellison syndrome

The recommended dose is 40-80 mg per day. In patients with severe disorders Liver function dose should be reduced to 40 mg 1 time in 2 days. Side effects

  • From the organs of hematopoiesis: very rarely - leukopenia, thrombocytopenia.

  • From the digestive system: often - abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, flatulence; infrequently - nausea, vomiting; rarely - dry mouth; very rarely - an increase in the activity of hepatic transaminases and gamma-glutamine transferase (GGT), severe liver damage leading to jaundice with or without hepatic insufficiency.

  • From the immune system: very rarely - anaphylactic reactions, including anaphylactic shock.

  • From the musculoskeletal system: rarely - arthralgia; very rarely - myalgia.

  • From the central and peripheral nervous system: often - headache; infrequently - dizziness, visual impairment (blurred vision).

  • Mental disorders: very rarely - depression.

  • From the genitourinary system: very rarely - interstitial nephritis.

  • Allergic reactions: infrequently - itching and rash; very rarely - urticaria, angioedema, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, polymorphic erythema or Lyell's syndrome, photosensitivity.

  • General disorders: very rarely - peripheral edema, hyperthermia, weakness, painful tension of the mammary glands, increased triglyceride levels.
